GAIN Alumni Programme

The GAIN Alumni programme exists to support young women and non-binary professionals early on in their investment management careers. Through the community we also aim to encourage those who have been through GAIN programmes to give back to the next generation.

Who counts as an Alumni?

Our Alumni are women or non-binary individuals that have graduated from university and have started, or are actively looking to start, a career within the investment management industry.

You also must have completed at least one GAIN Programme (GAIN Investment Insight Programme or GAIN Empower Investment Internship Programme).

If you’re actively looking to start a career within the investment management industry, check out our jobs board.

Benefits of joining the Alumni community

There are so many reasons to join the Alumni programme, including:

  • Grow your professional network with:

    • access to networking events with the wider GAIN volunteer network (representatives from all levels & all roles across the investment industry)

    • access to GAIN sponsor (investment firm) hosted alumni events throughout the year

    • signposting to other opportunities eg. Diversity Project Pathway Programme

  • Opportunities for personal & professional development

  • Selected alumni invited to join GAIN Alumni & Student Advisory Board

GAIN Alumni also get the opportunity to be recognised at the GAIN annual awards. If you’ve completed at least one programme and are still involved with GAIN, actively giving back to other students, you could be in with a shout.

What does GAIN need from you?

Part of the programme is about encouraging you GAIN Alumni to give back to the next generation. We ask that you:

  • Contact your old school and offer to deliver a GAIN school talk

  • Contact your old university and offer to join a society event

  • Get involved with fundraising for GAIN e.g. through GAIN Giving Month

  • Complete the GAIN Alumni survey

Join the GAIN Programme Alumni LinkedIn group to connect with other Alumni, share challenges & opportunities and speak about the things that matter to you.
